Blogmas day 8: Peggy Porschen Cakes

I entered a bloggers paradise here at Peggy Porschen Cakes! And there was even a blogger perched on the steps under the beautiful doorway with her professional photographer snapping away.

This explosion of pink against the dark London road is an instant uplift especially on the wet cloudy day like ours! You can always rely on the English weather not to let you down ha ha.

Seeing the Sights of Lincoln

My mum and dad are big big fans of the superbikes and follow them around England to watch. So, the weekend just gone was Cadwell Park, just outside of Lincoln. And with nothing for me to do, my mum suggested going with them to camp and go to Lincoln on Saturday, but this did mean enduring the motorbikes all day Sunday, which I agreed could be bearable. So, yes I said and on Friday we were off to Cadwell!

We were honestly so unlucky with the traffic on the way there and a journey which was supposed to take just over 2 hours took us almost 4!! I am rubbish at journeys but I think I did quite well and only asked ‘are we there yet’ twice! We even had thunderstorms and torrential rain throughout the journey which was making us worried about camping that night. But we arrived at a dry campsite and quickly put the tent up and had dinner before heading to bed.

Mamma Mia the Musical

So, myself and my mum had the 10th August free for a long time and we knew that we would spend the day in London but doing what we was not sure? We had many plans from visiting Alexander Palace or Hampton Court Palace, but both being booked up we decided what about a musical? Looking online a few weeks before, it was hard to find two tickets that were not incredibly expensive, until we saw Mamma Mia! My mum had seen it before but she said she saw it in 2000 so 17 years ago!! And I had never seen it so we both thought yes lets go! I had watched the film at the weekend and I was singing a long and getting super excited. If you have not seen it I would 100% recommend both the film and the musical if you have the chance!!

The Last Day in Paris

Once again we woke up in our beautiful hotel in Paris and were both happy and sad that we were still in this wonderful city, but in the evening we were returning home after such a lovely few days. We were packed, up, and ready to have the early afternoon exploring more of the city. Our main idea for our last day was to go into both the Louvre Museum and Musee d’Orsay.

Typical Tourists in Paris

We woke up in our big comfy bed excited to see Paris and for me especially the Eiffel Tower!! We were up, ready and out by 10-am heading towards the Louvre Museum as we wanted to head to the river. Our hotel was roughly a 20 minute walk and took us through some little streets that we would not have seen otherwise.
